OFCN Landline Phones Editorial Review
The White OF-990 Slimline Telephone presents itself as a straightforward, cost-effective solution for those seeking a reliable corded phone, particularly in situations where power outages make cordless phones impractical. Customers commend its functionality as an emergency backup, noting that it performs well under basic telephony needs, which is precisely its intended purpose. The simplicity in design and operation means that users can quickly adapt to its use without needing to navigate complex features. However, several reviews highlight a significant downside: the ringer's volume is excessively loud and shrill, which can be startling. Many users find this particularly bothersome as there are no adjustable settings to modulate the sound. The lack of weight in the product can also become a minor annoyance, as the base tends to slide if the cord is pulled, although this concern might be less relevant for users who plan to mount it on the wall. Overall, the OF-990 Slimline Telephone is appreciated by those who seek a no-frills, emergency calling device, but it does come with caveats regarding its ringer intensity and stability. **
