Customer Questions & Answers

  • Question: What is the primary benefit of the MIPS technology in the Giro Strive Race Ski Helmet?

Answer: The primary benefit of MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) technology in the Giro Strive Race Ski Helmet is enhanced safety. MIPS allows the helmet to rotate slightly upon impact, which reduces the rotational forces that can cause brain injuries. This technology is designed to provide superior protection during falls and crashes, making it ideal for both recreational and competitive skiers. Whether you're racing down a snow-covered slope or enjoying a leisurely day on the mountain, MIPS technology ensures an additional layer of safety, giving you peace of mind while you focus on your performance.
  • Question: Is the Giro Strive MIPS helmet suitable for all ages?

Answer: Yes, the Giro Strive MIPS Race Ski Helmet is designed to accommodate men, women, and youth. This inclusivity makes it a versatile choice for families. The helmet features adjustable sizing options to ensure a comfortable fit for a range of head sizes, making it perfect for both growing kids and adults. Whether you're hitting the slopes with the whole family or gifting a helmet to a young ski enthusiast, this helmet ensures everyone can enjoy skiing safely and comfortably.
  • Question: How does the fit system work in the Giro Strive MIPS helmet?

Answer: The Giro Strive MIPS helmet features a Fit System that includes an adjustable dial at the back. This allows users to customize the fit for maximum comfort and stability while skiing. The ability to fine-tune the fit ensures that the helmet stays securely in place, reducing the risk of it shifting during high-speed descents or jumps. Regardless of your skill level, achieving the perfect fit can enhance your skiing experience by providing both comfort and protection.
  • Question: What materials are used in the construction of the Giro Strive MIPS helmet?

Answer: The Giro Strive MIPS Race Ski Helmet is constructed using a durable outer shell and an inner foam liner, specifically designed to absorb impact. The helmet’s outer shell is typically made of robust polycarbonate, while the interior features EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) for impact protection. This combination of materials not only provides excellent shock absorption but also keeps the helmet lightweight, making it easier to wear for extended periods. This ensures that you can focus on enjoying your ski experience without being weighed down.
  • Question: Can the Giro Strive helmet accommodate goggles?

Answer: Absolutely! The Giro Strive MIPS helmet is designed to seamlessly accommodate ski goggles. The helmet includes integrated goggle retainer systems, which securely hold goggles in place, preventing them from shifting during activity. This feature is particularly useful for skiers who engage in high-speed runs or difficult terrain where goggles might otherwise slip. Skiing with a well-fitted helmet and goggles ensures you have clear visibility and protection from wind and snow, enhancing your overall skiing experience.
  • Question: Is the Giro Strive helmet compatible with audio systems?

Answer: Yes, the Giro Strive MIPS helmet is compatible with various audio systems. It features speaker pockets that allow you to easily integrate your favorite audio devices, providing a more enjoyable skiing experience. Listening to music or receiving phone calls while skiing can enhance your time on the slopes. Just ensure any installed audio system is compatible and securely mounted to maintain safety and performance during your runs.
  • Question: How well does the Giro Strive helmet perform in extreme weather conditions?

Answer: The Giro Strive MIPS helmet is designed for excellent performance in extreme weather conditions. Its construction offers substantial insulation to keep your head warm during cold temperatures while permitting airflow to reduce overheating during exertion. The helmet also features ventilation systems that can be adjusted to regulate temperature. Whether you’re skiing in chilly winter storms or bright sunny days, the Giro Strive helmet ensures you remain comfortable and protected throughout your ski adventures.
  • Question: What colors and designs are available for the Giro Strive MIPS helmet?

Answer: The Giro Strive MIPS Race Ski Helmet comes in a variety of colors and designs, catering to different style preferences. You can find options ranging from bold, vibrant hues to more subdued tones, allowing you to express your personality on the slopes. This variety ensures that whether you prefer a classic look or a contemporary style, there’s a Giro Strive helmet that suits you perfectly, helping you not just stay safe but look good while skiing.
  • Question: How should I properly care for my Giro Strive helmet?

Answer: Caring for your Giro Strive MIPS helmet is essential for longevity. After every use, wipe the exterior with a damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. For the interior, use a mild soap solution, and avoid harsh chemicals to prevent damage to the lining. Store the helmet in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, and always ensure it is free of any impacts from accidents, as these can compromise safety. With proper maintenance, your helmet will remain in great condition season after season.
