Customer Questions & Answers
-
Question:
What are the dimensions of the Brabantia Size C ironing board cover?
Answer: The Brabantia Size C ironing board cover measures 49 x 18 inches. This size is specifically designed to fit most standard ironing boards, providing ample coverage for efficient ironing. A well-fitted cover is crucial as it ensures that the fabric remains taut, minimizing creases and enhancing the ironing experience. Whether you're ironing shirts for work or linens for your home, having a perfect fit is essential. -
Question:
What material is the Brabantia ironing board cover made of?
Answer: The Brabantia ironing board cover is constructed from 100% cotton, ensuring durability and heat resistance. Cotton is a breathable fabric that allows steam to penetrate effectively, thus enhancing the ironing process by allowing creases to release easily. This cover also features a durable foam layer, which provides additional cushioning, making it suitable for all types of fabrics, whether you're working with delicate silk or sturdy cotton. -
Question:
How does the Easy-Fit feature work?
Answer: The Easy-Fit feature of the Brabantia ironing board cover includes a unique fastening system that ensures a snug fit on your ironing board. This design incorporates elastic edges that allow for easy installation and secure tension across the surface. When properly fitted, it reduces the chances of slip or bunching during ironing, making your tasks smoother. This is particularly beneficial during extensive ironing sessions where comfort and efficiency are key. -
Question:
Is the cover machine washable?
Answer: Yes, the Brabantia ironing board cover is machine washable. This feature helps maintain its cleanliness and extends its lifespan, which is important for consistent performance. Regular washing is recommended, especially if you're frequently ironing items that may leave stains or odors. Maintaining a clean ironing surface helps improve the quality of your ironing results and prevents any transfer of residues onto your clothes. -
Question:
Can this cover fit irregular-shaped ironing boards?
Answer: While the Brabantia Size C cover is designed for standard ironing boards, it may fit slightly irregular shapes due to its elastic design. However, for the best results, it is recommended to check the dimensions before purchasing. If you have a uniquely shaped board, look for specific covers tailored for those shapes to ensure the best performance. Such adaptations can enhance your ironing experience significantly. -
Question:
Does the cover help with heat reflection?
Answer: Yes, the metallized layer in the Brabantia ironing board cover contributes to heat reflection. This feature assists in effectively using heat from the iron to work on both sides of the fabric simultaneously, thereby speeding up the ironing process. This is particularly beneficial for heavy fabrics where more heat and steam are required, allowing you to achieve crisp and clean results without excessive effort. -
Question:
What are some tips for using this ironing board cover?
Answer: For optimal use of the Brabantia ironing board cover, start by ensuring your ironing board is clean and dry. When fitting the cover, pull it tightly across the board to eliminate wrinkles and creases. Always iron on a stable surface with your iron at the right temperature for different fabrics. Using additional spray starch can also enhance crispness on garments. Cleaning the cover regularly maintains its effectiveness and longevity. -
Question:
Can I use this cover for steam generators?
Answer: Yes, the Brabantia ironing board cover is suitable for use with steam generators. Its construction allows for effective steam penetration, making it a perfect choice for heavier fabrics and larger ironing tasks. The durable foam layer provides extra cushioning, which keeps the surface gentle on clothes while allowing steam to escape, ensuring thorough removal of creases. It’s ideal for those looking to save time while achieving professional results. -

Answer: The Brabantia ironing board cover enhances the ironing experience by providing a smooth, durable surface that allows for efficient wrinkle removal.
