Control Company 5008 Traceable Three-Line Alarm Timer

The Control Company 5008 Traceable Three-Line Alarm Timer receives mixed feedback from customers. While some customers find it reliable and easy to use, others have issues with its quality and functionality. One customer mentions that the timer works well, but they had to tape the back shut as the batteries would fall out otherwise. They also complain about the alarm being extremely loud and annoying, with no way to adjust the volume. Another customer expresses disappointment with the product they received, stating that it does not look or function like the 5008 timer shown in the picture. They emphasize that the timer they received can only count down on three channels from a manually entered number, lacking the ability to count up independently. They also mention that the new version has a rubbery blue face instead of a hard plastic one, which could potentially be easily damaged in a busy lab. On a positive note, one customer praises the timer's functionality and ease of use. They appreciate the option of three different alert sounds for each alarm and the ability to have multiple timers running simultaneously. Another customer, who uses the timer in a laboratory setting, mentions that it works great and meets their need for NIST traceability. Overall, the Control Company 5008 Traceable Three-Line Alarm Timer has its Pros and Cons. While it may work well for some users, there are concerns about its quality and functionality, particularly in comparison to the picture shown in the product description.
