Grant 5196 Black Luster Billet Installation Kit

The Grant 5196 Black Luster Billet Installation Kit has garnered a mixed reception among customers, with feedback highlighting both its aesthetic appeal and significant quality concerns. Many users praised the kit for its overall design and how it enhances the appearance of their vehicles. The installation process was noted to be relatively straightforward; with some customers completing the task in under an hour due to the precision of the adapter's fit. However, several critiques emerged regarding the actual quality of the materials used. Detractors pointed out that despite being marketed as "billet," the product incorporates cast aluminum and pot metal components, which raised concerns about durability. A few customers reported issues with misaligned holes that required additional drilling and tapping, leading to frustration over the machining precision. One review explicitly referenced previous negative experiences related to inferior steel components from the brand, making users hesitant to trust the longevity of this kit. While some customers managed to achieve a successful installation despite these drawbacks, others reported serious concerns about the integrity of the adapter, sharing apprehensions about future use. Furthermore, issues related to packaging and shipping detracted from the overall user experience, with complaints about damage upon arrival, although this feedback is not the focus of the review. In conclusion, the Grant 5196 Black Luster Billet Installation Kit may offer a pleasing aesthetic and straightforward installation process for some, but it falls short in terms of quality assurance and alignment, as well as being perceived as overpriced compared to competitors. **
