Dorman 1590212 Driver Side Headlight Assembly

The Dorman 1590212 Driver Side Headlight Assembly has received mixed reviews from customers. While some customers found the product to be as described and easy to install, others had a negative experience with the product. One positive aspect mentioned by a customer was the inclusion of a bulb, which was a pleasant surprise. The adjustability of the beam was also praised by another customer. However, there were some significant issues reported by other customers. One customer mentioned that the adjustment gearbox came apart while attempting to adjust the headlights, and had to be fixed. Furthermore, the lower bolt end kept popping out of the housing, requiring a second fix. This suggests that the product may not be suitable for all vehicles, with the customer speculating that it may work fine for stock pick-ups and SUVs. Another customer noticed that the item was cracked at the adjustment gear, making it impossible to adjust the headlights. This indicates a quality control issue with the product. One customer reported that the driver's side headlight had a spread-out beam with bright spots in different directions, resembling a kaleidoscope, while the passenger side light had a uniform and concentrated beam. The adjusters on the driver's side were also loose and backwards, making it difficult to adjust without removing other parts. The customer had to use old adjusters and was returning the driver's side light for the second time. This suggests that there may be inConsistencies in the manufacturing of the product. Another customer mentioned that the adjuster/mounting screws had play, causing the headlights to be slightly wiggly. The customer had to use old Ford screw assemblies to resolve this issue. Additionally, the new screw had the hex on the opposite end, making it inaccessible after installing the headlight bezel, again suggesting manufacturing inConsistencies. Overall, the Dorman 1590212 Driver Side Headlight Assembly has received mixed reviews. While some customers found it easy to install and were satisfied with the product, others experienced significant issues such as loose adjusters, cracked adjustment gear, and spread-out beams. These issues indicate potential quality control and compatibility problems with certain vehicles.
