Lake Cycling Editorial Review
The Lake MX146 Cycling Shoe has garnered significant attention among cycling enthusiasts, particularly those looking for reliable winter footwear. Many customers praise these shoes for their outstanding warmth and comfort, especially in cold conditions. Users have reported that they remain comfortable even in temperatures as low as 32°F, making them a solid choice for cyclists in colder climates, like Denver. A recurring theme among reviews is the sizing, with customers frequently noting that the shoes tend to run small and narrow. A common piece of advice is to size up, often by at least one or two numbers to find the right fit. While some users found the initial sizing to be a challenge, they ultimately appreciated the fit and comfort once they achieved the correct size. This is particularly relevant for those with wider feet, as several reviewers experienced a snug fit even in wide options. Additionally, there's a Consensus on the importance of wearing thicker socks for comfort. The quality of the MX146 is another highlight, with numerous customers expressing satisfaction with the overall build and functionality of the shoe. Despite being on the pricier side, many felt that the investment was worth it for the performance they delivered in challenging winter conditions. Additionally, some satisfied customers mentioned their intention to purchase other models from Lake, indicating a strong brand loyalty. Overall, while the Lake MX146 Cycling Shoe has a few caveats in terms of sizing, their effectiveness in keeping feet warm and comfortable during winter rides has made a positive impression on users, leading to a favorable reception. **
