Nutritionist's Take
The Wigwam Diabetic Sport Crew Socks 2-Pack are designed to provide comfort and support for individuals with diabetes, focusing on preventing foot complications. These socks feature moisture-wicking materials that help keep feet dry, which is crucial for preventing fungal infections and blisters, common concerns for diabetics. The non-restrictive top ensures circulation is maintained, avoiding potential negative impacts on blood flow. While the socks do not offer nutritional value per se, their quality construction—such as cushioning and seamless design—contributes positively to overall foot health. However, consumers should be mindful that these socks alone cannot substitute for medical attention or management of diabetes. Overall, they are a beneficial addition to a diabetic's daily care routine, provided one also observes proper dietary and health practices.
Wigwam Socks & Insoles P8773 Editorial Review
Wigwam Diabetic Sport Crew Socks 2-Pack are designed for performance, featuring a blend of polyester, Tencel, and stretch nylon for comfort. However, several users noted that despite being marketed as diabetic socks, they can feel overly loose and may not provide the expected support, potentially increasing the risk of slips. Additionally, the transition to seams at the toes has disappointed long-time users who appreciated the seamless design that prevents sores. It's crucial to ensure you're purchasing directly from Wigwam to avoid sizing issues, as some customers experienced receiving incorrectly sized socks from third-party sellers. Overall, while these socks are suitable for activities like running and hiking, they may not meet everyone's expectations.
