adj Stage Lights MYDMX BUDDY Editorial Review
The ADJ Products MYDMX Buddy emerges as a commendable choice for beginners in the world of DMX lighting control. Many customers have praised its user-friendly setup and reliable functionality, claiming that it operates well on both Windows and Mac systems. Users appreciate its capability to manage a significant number of channels—up to 255—although most find they only need a fraction of that. The software associated with the dongle is highlighted for its stability and ease of use, making it a suitable tool for various events, including theaters and weddings. In terms of programming, while most users find it intuitive, there are notes about the learning curve associated with creating complex lighting scenes. Users recommend watching tutorials to master the software's features fully. The portability of the device also receives positive feedback, with many commenting on its compact size, allowing for easy transport. However, it is worth noting that some users expressed dissatisfaction with the company's technical support. While many felt the device worked excellently, those who ran into issues with upgrades or functionality found little assistance from ADJ. There were also concerns about the software's somewhat outdated interface, and in some cases, people returned the product due to frustrations with compatibility and upgrades. In conclusion, the MYDMX Buddy is celebrated as an exceptional entry-level DMX solution for newcomers eager to delve into lighting control, yet users should be aware of potential limitations related to support and software upgrades. **
