Trumpeter Airplane & Jet Kits TSM-2227 Editorial Review
The Trumpeter 132 P38L-5-LO Lightning Fighter model kit is a highly detailed and complex build recommended for upper intermediate to expert modelers. The finished model is fairly large with a 20" wingspan, 14" long and just under 4" high. The kit includes rockets, two bombs, and two long-range fuel drop tanks, but no pilot. The cockpit is extremely detailed with all controls. The rubber tires are on nice "mag" wheels. While the kit is a bit dated in terms of the attachment of the control surfaces, it is still a great build and looks fantastic once assembled.
