ONGUARD Alarms & Anti-Theft 45008048C Editorial Review
** Onguard Boxer X4 Shackle Disc Lock** The Onguard Boxer X4 Shackle Disc Lock has garnered a mixed reception from users, highlighting its solid Construction and security capabilities while also presenting some notable drawbacks. On the positive side, many users praise its robust build, which provides peace of mind when securing motorcycles and other valuable items. The compact design allows for easy handling and transport without the cumbersome nature of more traditional chain locks. Reliability appears to be a hallmark of the Onguard brand, with multiple customers expressing satisfaction in the longevity and effectiveness of the lock for various applications. However, not all experiences have been favorable. A significant point of contention is the locking mechanism, which requires manual alignment of the U-shaped bar and key, rather than featuring a spring latch that automatically engages. This has led to frustration among some users, particularly when combined with reports of jammed locks that made them unable to unlock their bikes. In one severe case, a customer recounted the difficult and costly process of having to resort to bolt cutters and saws due to the lock malfunctioning within just a few months of use. Despite the few negative experiences, the general Consensus seems to lean toward positivity, especially regarding child-proofing items and protecting Construction tools. Many loyal users advocate for the Onguard Boxer X4 Disc Lock, often opting to purchase additional units for their security needs. **
