It works great with the easy walk harness for dogs that tend to be excitable. It is also a good replacement for the traditional collar and leash combo as it gives greater control over the dog. This leash also works well with various extensions that EzyDog makes and the mongrel extension is recommended. The leash is well made and would lie flat, but caution must be taken as it absorbs quite a lot of pull. The clip swivels but it is unsure if the leash can be used with a Gentle Leader.
