Triplett Network & Cable Testers Editorial Review
The Triplett CTX690 Network Tone and Probe Wire and Cable Tracer is a useful tool for tracing electrical wires. It works well for finding breaks and identifying circuit layouts behind walls. However, it is not powerful enough to locate buried wires or work on circuits over 250V. The device uses two 9 volt batteries, which should last a while. It is capable of tracing signals over long distances, up to 140 meters. Overall, the Triplett CTX690 is a handy tool for electricians and DIY enthusiasts.
