HJC HJ-17 PinLock Shield Clear

The HJC HJ-17 PinLock Shield Clear has received mixed reviews from customers regarding its effectiveness and installation. Many users appreciate the fog-resistant qualities of the Pinlock system, particularly in cool weather situations. For riders who previously struggled with fogging issues at stoplights, the Pinlock shield has proven to be a reliable solution, eliminating the need for alternative anti-fog techniques that were often ineffective. Installation of the shield is generally described as straightforward, allowing for a smooth replacement of the older, scratched shields that some customers were using. The removable insert feature of the Pinlock shield has been well-received, with users noting the option to detach it during warmer months, enhancing versatility. However, some customers have reported compatibility issues, particularly with the fitment against their helmets. In one instance, the shield's design resulted in inadequate sealing with the liner, leading to fog accumulation that significantly impaired visibility. Furthermore, there are complaints regarding the shield’s durability during removal; one user experienced breakage of a pin while trying to clean underneath the shield. Overall, while many users commend the anti-fog capabilities and ease of installation of the HJC HJ-17 PinLock Shield Clear, concerns about fit and durability could lead to dissatisfaction for some riders. **
