With the basic plan only, does the household alarm hub still go off when door/window alarms are triggered?

Yes. On the Basic plan, if any of your sensors get triggered, you will get an alert via your phone and your Siren. If you don't dismiss the initial alert for one minute, you will get a loud alarm both via your phone and your Siren. It works the exact same way in the Complete plan, with the difference that you won't get any additional alerts like SMS, automated call and Professional Monitoring.

Could this be used when we’re out of town to let us know when our pet sitter comes and goes from our home?

Yes. It will make a tone on your phone when motion is detected. We put one near each outside door so anyone approaching will trigger the detector.

I put in my phone number. it sent a code and when i hit confirm. nothing. now when i’ve uninstalled, it won’t take my number. ideas?

Hi, Thank you for letting us know! Please do the action below; Kindly un-install the app, wait an hour, and try again. Regards, Kristina GuRoos Team

Is there a log of every time the system is turned on/off? If my teenager disarms the system and leaves will I know the next day?

If it is connected through the app to your phone then if someone is to take the batteries out you will get an alert, as long as they don't also have access to the app to where they can disarm it. I would keep my password very unique

can i order extra window sensors?

I purchased more sensors later and added them.

How does the camera physically block the microphone when it's disarmed? I understand the camera has the opaque shield but it's unclear for the mic.

Hi! The Privacy Shield only blocks the camera's vision. However, whenever the shield is up, it activates a separate switch in the camera unit to disable the microphone.

Can you disarm one sensor on the spot to let out dogs while the rest of the system stays armed?

Hi, the feature which allows users to arm sensors separately is not yet available. This is something that our engineers are working on and it will be added in a major future update. Although, we do not have any ETAs for this yet.

KANGAROO Home Security Systems V009 Editorial Review

The Kangaroo Home Security Motion Sensor is designed to provide prompt alerts about movements within the home. The device connects to wifi and can be monitored through a mobile app. The manufacturer provides guidance on how to set it up for pet owners, with the aim of reducing false alarms. Additionally, integration with Alexa can be achieved with a subscription to the monitoring plan. However, a potential drawback is the delay in notification making it challenging to catch anyone in the act.
