Cableguys Nintendo Systems CGCRSG300199 Editorial Review
The Cable Guy: PhoneController Holder - SEGA Amy Rose is a heavy-duty PVC statue designed to hold your phone or gaming controller without tipping over. It comes with a sturdy base and a 4-foot charging cable. The character design is based on Amy Rose from the Sonic CD game, and the painting is pretty accurate. In terms of functionality, it works perfectly with smaller controllers such as the 8Bitdo M30, and it can hold almost any controller or small handheld system. However, with something bigger like a Steam controller or the Gullikit KingKong Pro 2 controller for the Switch, the nose is capable of blocking the charging port. The arms also don't seem stretched out far enough for something like the Experimental Pi's PiBoy XRS. One issue with the product is that it does not come with a cable, despite the description claiming it does. Additionally, the base is cheap, hollow plastic, although it does have enough bulk to keep the statue in place. Overall, this is a great product for any Sonic fan that has a game system. It's pleasant to look at and functional, although there are some limitations with larger controllers.
