Collars come with seven adjustable levels of static correction, plus tone/vibration-only mode. The receiver offers a warning tone before the static correction. The transmitter settings determine the distance from the boundary wire for the warning tone. The boundary wire has to be in a complete loop, and the wire needs to be spaced at least 3-5 feet apart if using a double loop layout. Amplifying and interference occur if wrapping a piece of wire around an area instead of conducting a double loop, and cutting the wire will require a loop. Some customers were dissatisfied with the product's quality. One customer noted that the main box failed, whereas another stated that the dog went across the boundary without receiving a shock. However, some received great results, and their dogs trained quickly, staying away from the boundaries. Some opted for an easier installation process by mounting the wire on their fence with gutter hangers for Christmas lights, and some used an edge trimmer to put the wire in the ground.
